WOW... busy, busy, busy

OK.. so things have been crazy around here!!  If you don't know me, I'm not athletically inclined AT ALL.  Apparenty it must skip a generation, because both of my older kids have made competitive teams for sports.  I'm very proud, don't get me wrong, but MAN, it sure is cutting into my stamping time!!!

I haven't been posting often, as I'm busy getting ready for the next month, which is CRAZY busy.  I helped my friend Heather S with her fund raiser (what a super fun day, and a great turnout!!) on the weekend.  Then for this weekend on Saturday, I signed up to be in the Mount Hope Christmas craft show, and then I'm on the auction committee for the silent auction at the kids' school.  (OK... it's not that much work for me, cuz my super-organized friend Carolyn organizes it, and she just bosses me around!!)  Then on the 16, don't forget to sign up for the Christmas Card SAS!!  On the 22, LCA is hosting Deck the Halls, which is a Christmas shopping day, where my other super-organized friend, Evri, has organized a whole bunch of really great vendors, with some really unique stuff to all be in one place at a time.  If you want to know more, just email me, and I'll give you some more info.

SO... that being said, do you want to see some of the stuff I'm making for these events?????    I have some more stuff, too, but I don't have pictures yet.  So, I have snowman ornaments that I CASED from Roxy, Cupcake kits that I CASED from Heather S, countdown clipboards that I CASED from Heather S as well.  Then I have an indoor s'mores tin, which has all the fixin's to make s'mores in the house, with candles!!!  What a scream, EH?  I also have some movie night tins, (again, Heather S) that have popcorn, drinks, licorice and other candy in there, and a $10 gift card for Blockbuster Video.  Sounds like a great teacher gift!!  And the last picture... wanna know what that is??  It's an idea that I adapted from something I saw on Splitcoaststampers.  It's a coaster, covered with DSP, and decorated... the library card will be used like a wish list, with each of my kids' names as the title, and every year, they'll write their top 'wish' for Christmas.  I made them into things you could hang, so they'll go on the tree every year... cool, EH????

Christmas Stamp A Stack!!!

OK!!  Sorry I've not posted in FOREVER (ok, a week) but between all the kids' activities, and plus I've been sick... (just ask the poor ladies that had to listen to me croak away at the AMAZING quarterly meeting on Monday night... more about that later...)

BUT...  YAY, I'm done making the samples that we'll be making at the Christmas SAS fundraiser at the London Christian Academy!!

Here's the cards we'll be making: 

You can click on the photos to see them bigger.  We'll be making 3 of each of these cards, for a total of 15 cards, and the cost of the night will be $35.  There will be door prizes again, and it was SO much fun last time!!!  Please email me at nursehb8@hotmail.com before Nov. 8 to confirm your spot!!  So, what do you think???  Aren't these cards just SO cute???  Don't you want to come and make them???  Of course you do!!

If you can't make it, you can still purchase a 'kit to go'.  All the stamping is done for you, all you have to do is assemble everthing, and colour!  It's the same price as if you came to the event, ($35), and 1/2 the fee goes directly to LCA!!

Stampin' Up! Regionals!

So, on September 20, I got to attend the Hamilton Regional seminar.  It was FANTASTIC!!  There were about 350 other 'crazy stamping ladies' there, and we were swapping and stamping like crazy!!  My friend, Heather S did a WOW presentation, and it WAS such a wow!!  There's a tutorial on her blog here of the cool project she did.  She even figured out that you can set the new SU jumbo eyelets inside each other, so they look nice on both sides of the project!!!  How much of a genius is she?  It's no wonder she's my stamping hero.

SO... wanna see some of my swaps????

I CASED this one from here... I didn't really change much, either. 

I used Big on Christmas, and Christmas Chatter jumbo wheel.  Basic Black ink, and markers to colour in the letters, and the snowman. 

I made 2 different swaps, and this is the one that most people wanted!!  I was shocked, because it was sooooo easy....   Just white cardstock, and stamped in Baroque Burgundy, and Always Artichoke.  Then I punched out each snowflake, once with the 3/4 inch circle punch, then in the other colour, I used the 1/2 inch punch.  I popped up the smaller image on a dimensional, and stamped the greeting in Burgundy and Artichoke.  The quality of this picture isn't the greatest, sorry about that!!

And here's a swap from Martha:   Isn't it sooo cute??  Well, maybe someday I'll edit more of the pictures from Regionals... I know I'll show you a couple of cool tricks they did there at some point.  I just need to get some time to photograph the steps!!

WOW... Time flies!!!

OK... I have been soooo busy the past week... I seriously think I may have to quit work just to fit 'life' in!!  (not really, but you know what I mean!!)  I worked 4 days this past week, and I have to say, I don't know how any mom works full time, and stays sane!!!  The only day I had off was Tuesday, and I spent the day in Clinton watching the LCA senior girls soccer team. (my daughter is in grade 5 and made the team... how could I not go???!!)  Anyway, they lost 4 games, 3 of which, they totally should have won, but they didn't.  Oh well, that's over, and now we're into other sports for the winter.  Both older kids are playing indoor soccer, and Emmalyn made the competitive basketball team.

OK... enough about how busy things are!!  I have been busy stamping and such, with upcoming craft shows and the silent auction at the school!!

So, I've been making planners for the girls at work.   What do you think???  They're store bought pocket calendars, and I just made new covers for them.  I made a bunch last year, too, and everyone loved them so much, that I decided to make a bunch more this year!!
