Wow... it's so close to Christmas, and oh my, have I been busy! We were in Niagara Falls on the weekend for my daughter's basketball tournament (they lost all their games, but still had fun), and yes, I was CRAZY and drove home in the huge snowstorm. What is normally a 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive (I do admit to having 'the operation'... right leg bones removed and replaced with lead... thanks to RICK telling the boys in my son's class that last year... we were driving to a field trip, and I passed Rick on the way there, so he told a van load of 8 year old boys that Mrs. Bennett had surgery on her leg, and they replaced all the bones in my foot with lead. When we arrived, all the boys jumped out of the van and asked if they could see my 'surgery leg'. Well, of course, I had no idea what the heck they were talking about, but Rick did... he was laughing SO hard!!! The boys were sure disappointed that I didn't have a scar or anything to show them. The funniest part is, I wasn't going that fast, anyway!!!!)... anyway, I digress... It took us almost 6 hours!!! But, we arrived safe and sound, and all is well again.
OK... you didn't come here to read that... you came to see some of the stuff that's been keeping me busy, right?????
I needed some things to give the kids' teachers, and so I made them all an 'Emergency Card Kit'... 8 cards and envelopes in a tin. (I sold these at craft shows this year, too, and they were a HUGE hit)
I made several different packs, and of course, didn't take pictures of the first round, so you don't get to see all of those... sorry!
Last night, I made up another 12 packs. (yep, last night... 96 cards... I was up till 2:30) So, here they are
